After having read through our web design services it is inevitable that you will have some questions for the Equal Design team before you decide on which is the best product and/or service for you. To try and help answer these questions as quickly as we can we have formed this ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section of your website, which includes many of the questions that we have been asked in the past by other customers.

I already own a domain name which I wish to use for my website, can this be done?

Yes this is no problem. You will have purchased your domain name from a provider. All you will need to do is login to your account with them and change the name servers so that your domain name points to Equal Design’s web hosting (free with your website). If you are not sure how to do this, don’t worry as one of the Equal Design team will happily complete this for you, using your login details.

I am worried about ongoing costs. Are there any involved with an Equal Design website?

The simple answer he is no. There are no monthly costs involved with your website. You will have to pay for hosting at the end of your second year which is currently £40 for a further 2 years and also renew your domain name, which is currently £8 for a .uk domain name. Other than that there are no additional costs per month with Equal Design sites. Many customers however feel more comfortable if Equal Design are there to look after their site for them and a monthly rate can be arranged with a member of the Equal Design team.

Do I own the site and content that I have purchased?

Yes your site is yours to do with as you like once you have purchased it. The only thing that Equal Design insist on is that as long as the site remains in the form that it was when handed over to the customer, a link to Equal Design must remain in the footer of the website. This can however be removed for a negotiated fee.

I need a website quickly, how long will it take to get my site on the Internet?

Equal Design realise that you need your website up and running as quickly as possible. The quicker you can provide Equal Design with the information that you want on your website then the quicker the site can be on the internet. Customers that have provided us with everything that they want on their site (e.g. text for each of the pages, specific photographs etc.) have had their sites on the internet within 36 hours of their enquiry. If we have all the information we will produce your site as quick as possible.
